With a Master's degree in Nutrition Science from San Jose State University, Darcie enhanced her nutrition expertise with culinary training at the world renown Ecole de Gastronomie Francaise Ritz-Escoffier in Paris. Owner Carol Harvey is an authority on nutrition labeling in addition to her 15 years of professional cooking experience. She has written dozens of food and nutrition articles for magazines such as Women's Sports & Fitness and Restaurants & Institutions, and authored two San Francisco area restaurant guides in the '90s focusing on dining out healthfully. She was a nutrition editor and recipe "makeover" contributor for Cyberdiet.com before its sale to DietWatch.com, and was interviewed twice on ABC's Dr. Dean Edell's Medical Journal regarding retail and restaurant nutrition issues.
